Robert joined SIX Swiss Exchange in September 2015 as Head Equity Product Management. He brought with him over 15 years of experience in building and designing equity trading platforms and connectivity solutions around the world. After starting his work with EFA Software developing trading systems for global emerging markets, he moved to London from his home in Canada in 2002. He then joined agency broker Instinet and went on to run development in Europe for them including leading development on the CHI-X trading platform prior to its launch in 2007. He then spent time at Liquidnet working on development of the largest block trading platform in Europe. Prior to joining SIX Swiss Exchange Robert Cranston held the position of Global Head of Product for Direct Feeds at Thomson Reuters.
